Colombo to Mannar train service is available daily from Colombo and from Mannar. These train service operating to and from Thalaimannar railway station and Colombo Fort, used to stop in Anuradhapura and Medawachchi train stations. Travelers can make advance train seat booking by visiting the railway stations, mobile phones, SLT land line and CGR Online portal.There used to be complete packed train service during the Madu Church Festival season. During the festival season it is better to book your train seat early with the authorities or you have to take the Bus service from Colombo or from Mannar. In the meantime special trains used to operate on this route during the Madhu Shrine festival season.
