Jaffna is located in the Northern part of Sri Lanka. Currently Jaffna can be reached by Luxury Busses, trains, flights and by vehicles. Although there is a sea route available to there but this route is not used due to economical reason. People in Jaffna District are very friendly and most of them can speak English language fluently. As a foreign or local tourist you can find lot of interesting places in this district. It can be historical British, Dutch and Portuguese era buildings, churches, monuments and Tamil kingdoms remains. Beach, desert like lands, shopping, religious places and many more are available. Different kinds of places are available in short distance in this area. While travelling here keep enough mineral water with you. Cool box in the vehicle is good idea as most of the time this area is dry and hot. Take salt tablets to prevent from dehydration during the months of April, May and June. Around December it is rainy season here. Some time train services and road transport may be affected due to floods during the rainy season.. It is better to use Car, Motorcycle, bullock Cart or bicycle for traveling in Jaffna.

In the Jaffna District there are some "Resorts" are available for the guests to enjoy their acommodations with fun filled events organized by the Resort Owners and with their staff.
